MARK TOWNSEND
Mark has been teaching first aid to doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, mountaineers, kayak coaches, sports coaches and referees, industrialists, Youth Workers, Duke of Edinburgh Candidates, Child and Infant Care Workers and Royal Marines and other serviceman in preparation for Iraq, Afghanistan and other Operations, for 9 years
Mark is a keen participant in many sports including, kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, squash and running........ when he gets the time!
Mark instructs and assesses on all of our courses.
SARA TOWNSEND
Sara is a qualified NVQ level 3 Child Assistant with 2 young boys. Sara is well known by her childcare colleagues to be very Professional, caring and approachable. Sara has lots of experience in the childcare sector, this along with her first aid knowledge can greatly enhance and prepare anyone for first aid situations.
Sara is a great Mum and wife, She enjoys spoiling her 3 boys, cooking, walking, climbing, camping and cycling, rarely gets time to relax but enjoys reading and rarely TV.
Sara instructs on the Child and Infant First Aid Courses and likely to be the main instructor on the HSE Emergency First Aid At Work Courses.
GARY VINES
Gary 'Vinny' Vines has served with the Royal Marines for 21 years, 13 of those years as a Royal Navy Commando Medic. He has seen active service in Northern Ireland, Bosnia and more recently 2 Operational tours of Afghanistan.
He qualified in March 1999, as a First Aid instructor and has taught a multitude of courses, from Young Royal Marines getting ready to deploy, Wives staying at home and even the ANP (Afghanistan National Police).
He has been asked to teach on the prestigious PHEC (Pre Hospital Emergency Care) Course, run by BASICS (British Association for Immediate Care) and also the Military BATLS (Battlefield Advanced Trauma Life Support) Course.
Other courses he has attended are A.L.S Trauma Management, RM Stress Trauma Management, PEARS (Paediatric Emergency & Resuscitation), Patient Handling, Child protection, MIMMS (Major Incident Medical Management & Support), Road Traffic Collision Medical Management, Under Water Escape Training and PEPP (Paediatric Education for Pre Hospital Professionals)
